SAN ANTONIO (AP) Jhivvan Jackson had 23 points as UTSA won its seventh consecutive home game, topping UTEP 86-70 on Saturday. Keaton Wallace added 21 points for the Roadrunners.
Jackson made all 12 of his free throw attempts. He added seven rebounds. Wallace also had eight rebounds.
Atem Bior had 13 points and seven rebounds for UTSA (9-10, 3-3 Conference USA). Byron Frohnen added seven rebounds.
Bryson Williams had 21 points and seven rebounds for the Miners (11-8, 2-4). Souley Boum added 18 points.
The Roadrunners leveled the season series against the Miners with the win. UTEP defeated UTSA 80-77 last Wednesday. UTSA matches up against North Texas on the road on Thursday. UTEP faces Rice on the road on Thursday.
